Joe’s playlists › Summer 2025

An abstract acrylic painting with primary colors and what could be the eyes and nose of a falcon, or maybe it's the sun.

This year’s summer playlist is the punkiest, danciest collection of music I’ve collected. Can you listen to punk while you're grilling burgers on the weber? Shit yes you can.

So I got real into egg punk this year, a midwestern breed of semi-sarcastic short-song punk, it spoke to many of the things I love in life. But that's not all, there's some synth punk in there too and some regular old punk music. Check the second half for those songs.

Sixty-eight songs, three and a half hours, artists from 17 countries and five continents are represented, mostly U.S. with a solid squad of Australians in there. A hearty shoutout to Ada for this year’s cover art.

The three throwbacks I sprinkled in there might be my favorite collection of throwbacks, won't spoil those so I'm not going to say anymore.
